Role expertise includes IT, business development, strategy, marketing and PR, product development and operationalization, program management as well as P&L experience. She has managed teams up to 50, both in the US and internationally, and understands operational scaling. She has served on several non profit boards during her career, focused on entrepreneurism, innovation and children’s welfare.
She lives in the NYC area with her daughter. Outside of family, career pursuits and board work, she hosts a podcast related to social impact and is currently attaining her private pilot’s license.
Dr. Jacob DeLaRosa is the chief of Cardiac and Endovascular surgery as well as the Surgical Director of the Trans-catheter Program. He is double boarded in General surgery and Thoracic surgery. He did his Thoracic surgery training at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia. In 2004 he went to Southeast Idaho to start the first Cardiothoracic surgical program. Over the past 15-years he has built a nationally and international recognized program.
He is past president of the 21st Century Cardiothoracic Surgical Society, and past member of the FDA Risk Advisory Committee. He has extensively published in peer reviewed articles, book chapters, abstracts and holds several US and International patents. He is a Ted Talk alumnus, celebrated author and expert on dealing with Physician disruptive behavior. He has extensive experience in taking an idea, moving forward to production, and being able to take the product to market. He is known around the world as the surgeon that saved the 1-pound Yorkie.
Juan Leon is a Board Certified Anesthesiologist and the Chief of Cardiac Anesthesia. Juan is a modern-day visionary entrepreneur who holds multiple patents with products sold around the world.
Dr. Vasquez is a practicing Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgeon who did his surgical training at the University of California San Diego Medical Center (San Diego, CA) and at Wayne State University Medical School/Detroit Medical Center (Detroit, MI). He has established a busy clinical practice in South East Idaho, where he has been working for the last 12 years. He also holds a Master in Public Health (MPH) degree from Idaho State University. Besides his busy clinical practice, he has assumed administrative clinical duties at Portneuf Medical Center (PMC) in Pocatello, ID, including being the Medical Director of the Idaho Vein Center, as well as the Medical Director of the Portneuf Wound Care and Hyperbaric Center. He holds leadership positions at PMC including being the Chair of the Board of Portneuf Medical Group, Chair of the Medical Staff Quality Committee of PMC, and is currently the President-Elect of the Medical Staff at PMC. He also has served in committees and leadership positions in professional and scientific organizations at the regional and national levels, and is immediate past-president of the Idaho State Chapter of the American College of Surgeons.

Melanie has extensive experience with medical staff management and credentialing. She is a Certified Professional Credentialing Specialist through the National Association of Medical Staff Services. Melanie is a member of the national association, as well as the Wyoming and Idaho Associations of Medical Staff Services where she has served in various leadership roles, including a recent term as President.
Melanie also has an AAS in Paralegal Studies and worked as a Paralegal for many years, which blends well with work in medical staff services and enhances her understanding and perspective in the complicated world of healthcare.
